Introducing The Animal Blog Zoo!

During my travels, one of my favorite activities to pass the time is to visit the local zoo. Today I’m starting The Animal Blog Zoo to share a little bit of information about the animals I’ve encountered and photographed. My goal is to have one of the most comprehensive collections of animals on the internet.

For the first animal, I’m choosing one of my favorites: The slender tailed meerkat.

Hello,
Outside of Australia, the bilby is a little-known animal that occasionally draws comparisons to Star Wars’ Yoda character. In Australia, however, the endangered marsupial is making a comeback, due in large part to a recently launched “Save the Bilby” fund:

With help from the Environmental Protection Agency and Wildlife Preservation Society, a pair known simply as the Bilby Brothers are doing their best to help save an animal they call “graceful” and “beautiful.”
